On September 16 Galen went into the hospital for major surgery to remove a foot of his colon. There was no apparent cancer, but the doctor said it needed to come out because it had a good potential to become cancer. The surgery went as expected and they sent it off to pathology to make sure it was not cancer. The test results came back on the 18th and it was cancer free!!! Galen is still in the hospital as of Sunday September 20, still very sore and has had lots of nausea, but that has gotten better and just today he has started eating jello!! While in the hospital, he got a new roomate who is struggling with alcohol detox. Galen is looking at this as an opportunity to help others. God has a plan, this could be part of it!!
